GEAR NOTES / FISHING TACKLE STORAGE
Use 3600 and 3700 as a starting point
A format number is a useful way to search for tackle storage, but it is not a complete compatibility specification. Boxes described with the same nominal label can differ in depth, hinges, latches and outside profile. Treat the label as a shortlist, then compare the exact selected model with the bag or compartment you already own.
Measure the outside of the box
Check length, width and height for the complete closed box, including any projecting latch or hinge. A product’s compartment measurements describe a different space. If the source does not make clear whether a measurement is internal, external or a package dimension, ask for confirmation rather than choosing the figure that happens to fit.
Measure the opening as well as the space
A bag can have enough room inside while its opening makes a rigid box awkward to insert. Compare the usable opening, seams, dividers and the direction in which the box needs to slide. Allow room to operate a zip or lid without forcing the box into position.
Read the selected package
A bag photographed with several utility boxes may be sold empty or in a different bundle. Confirm the exact number, format and depth of any included boxes. We do not infer universal fit or supplied tackle from a nominal label or a staged photograph.
